    If you would like to edit your profile information, please login and select the “My Profile” option from the “Manage” tab on the top menu. You will reach your profile page, where you can edit your personal information.

    We have provided you with an easy link to retrieve your username. It’s located underneath the username box on the “Sign In” page. Click on that link, enter the email address you used to register with us, and you’ll receive an email with your username.

    We’ve made it easy for you to request a new password when you’ve forgotten your original one. Simply click on “Forgot your password?” underneath the box where you are supposed to input your password.     The kind of professional you choose (life coach, career coach, business consultant, career mentor, etc.) depends on your specific goals. Before you choose a professional, we encourage you to view the professional’s profile and feedback history to see what his/her clients are saying.

  • Do I need to choose a Professional who lives close to me?

    Not at all! All of the services offered on our site can be conducted via our internal emails system, our live chat system and a phone, so you don’t have to choose a professional who lives close to you. And because getting the right "fit" is so important in finding the right professional, we strongly encourage you to find the professional whose training, experience, and background closely match your specific goals. One of the main advantages of FreelanceCoach is that we have combined our comprehensive chat system with our feedback system, which makes it possible for you to hire a professional with minimal risk involved.

    Simply click on the Professional’s name to find the profile with detailed information about the professional you are interested in.

    You can also email and chat with a professional to find our if you are a good "fit". Usually, each professional will be happy to do it for free of charge.

    We review and screen all of the professionals who sign up to be part of our network. All our professionals have training, experience, client references in the field they are listed in on our network.

  • How do I know in which category I should look for a professional?

    Think about what part of your life you need the most help with right now. For example, if it has to do with love, you might need to look in the relationship and dating category for coaches, counselors, or psychics. If you need help with your career, you may want to look in the career coaching, mentoring, or consulting categories.

  • How do I contact a Professional?

    The best way is to contact our professionals is either  through our chat or internal email system.  You just need to go to the All Professionals page and click on the orange “Start Chat” button or green "Send Email" button on the profile snapshot of any professional of your choice.

  • What if I want to meet face-to-face with my Professional?

    Face-to-face meetings with professionals are allowed. Additionally, please note that all the payments must be done through our FreelanceCoach payment system. If a professional offeres to pay him or her directly, please notify us as soon as possible.

  • How much do Professionals typically charge?

    Fees vary considerably from professional to professional and usually depend on the professional's experience, background, and training. Generally speaking, professionals with more experience and training charge more than beginner professionals. Most professionals, however, typically charge within the range from $35-$60 per hour. Senior professionals, particularly in the areas of leadership and executive coaching, may charge more, while some less experienced but very energetic and enthusiastic professionals may charge less.

  • What if I want to contact my Professional in between sessions?

    Simply go to the professional’s profile and click on the “Send Email” button.

  • Can I arrange sessions outside of FreelanceCoach?

    No, you cannot arrange sessions and use the professionals from FreelanceCoach outside of the website. This means you are not allowed to make arrangements to hire a professional you met on FreelanceCoach outside of FreelanceCoach. If you choose to do so, we will terminate your account with FreelanceCoach.

  • How often can I have my sessions?

    You and your professional will determine the frequency of your sessions. You can have them as close or as far apart as you and the professional you have chosen find necessary.

  • Why and how should I Post a Request?

    Posting a request is an effective way to find your professional. It is very easy. Fill in the request form and then just wait for the professionals to contact you. You will choose the professional you want from those who respond to your request. We allow up to 3 professionals to respond to each request. Once you receive 3 answers or after you have chosen a professional who responded to you, we will remove your request from our network. You will have the chance to repost your request if you didn’t find a professional that matches your needs.

    To post a request, you need to login and select the “Post my Request for Free” button from the top menu. Then just fill in the form, and the most-qualified professionals will contact you shortly.

  • What do I use for a title for a Request?

    The title is important to attract the right professional for your situation. If you need career advice, use a title with “Career Coach” or just “Career” in it. Besides that, you can be as creative as you would like with your title.

  • What kind of information do I include in the description portion of a request?

    This is the section where you can enter the kind of help you need and the type of professional you are looking for. You can indicate any special needs you have in the description as well.

  • What happens after I post a request?

    After you post a request, it will be sent directly to the FreelanceCoach administration team for review. If the request is approved by the FreelanceCoach administration team, it will be made available to our database of qualified Professionals. If a professional believes he or she will be able to help you, you will receive a message from the professional in your FreelanceCoach inbox. At the same time, a notification email is sent to your personal email used during registration.

  • How do I edit my request?

    After you login to FreelanceCoach, simply click on the "Active" folder under the "My Requests" menu on the left side of your Home Interface. You will see all of the currently active requests in your account. To edit a request, click on the “Actions” drop down menu, which will enable you to select “Edit.”

  • How do I delete a Request?

    Login to FreelanceCoach. On your Home Interface, under the left menu, click on the requests folder.  You will find your currently active requests. Select the delete action under the "Actions" drop down list for the request you want to delete.

  • How will I know a Professional has responded to my Request?

    When a professional responds to your request, you will receive an email in your FreelanceCoach inbox. At the same time, a notification email will be sent to your personal inbox. This email will have a URL where you can read the professional’s message. You can decide to reply with a message or to request a chat session.

  • After sending a message to the Professional that responded to my Request, what do I do next?

    The professional will receive your message and will reply back with suggestions for the next steps. You can also request three free minutes of chat time from this professional to find out more about his or her services.

  • I want to publish four requests today. Why I am getting a warning pop-up message?

    The maximum number of requests a client can publish per day is three.

  • How can I manage my Requests?

    Once you post your requests, all the tools you need to manage your requests are available through the FreelanceCoach Online Client Home Interface. You just need to login and click on the request folders located on the “My Requests” folder menu on the left side.

  • What forms of payment does FreelanceCoach accept?

    At this time, we only accept payment through PayPal. If you do not wish to create a PayPal account, you may choose the credit card option on the “Deposit funds” page. This will direct you to a PayPal page which enables you to pay via credit card without having to create a PayPal account.

    Please Note: it is a violation of FreelanceCoach terms to pay a professional directly.

  • Can I pay a Professional by myself and not use the FreelanceCoach Payment system?

    No, this is a violation of the rules of FreelanceCoach, and we will close your account immediately. FreelanceCoach payment system is the best way to pay your professional, and it is FREE.

  • How important is the system of leaving feedback?

    Leaving feedback is an important part of FreelanceCoach. Professionals build a reputation of client satisfaction, and clients build a history of consistent hiring and payment. These serve as references for both parties when evaluating which professional to work with in the future. Only past clients of a professional can leave feedback on FreelanceCoach, so you can be confident that the history of comments and ratings are from legitimate experiences of other FreelanceCoach members.

  • When can I leave feedback?

    A client can leave feedback either after paying for five minutes of chat time with a professional or after buying any service package from a professional.

  • How do I leave public feedback?

    To leave feedback for your chat sessions, please log in to FreelanceCoach Client Interface and click on the Action Menu of the chat session you want to leave feedback for.

    To leave feedback for your packages, please log in to FreelanceCoach Client Interface and click on the "Bought Packages" option menu on the left side of a page.  Then see the "leave feedback" option for each of packages you bought and click the one you need.

  • Can I change previously posted feedback or ratings?

    Yes, but you need to contact our support team  and request the feedback to be removed or changed.

  • What is FreelanceCoach’s Chat System?

    FreelanceCoach’s Chat System enables professionals and clients to discuss problems live over chat. As soon as a chat session begins, the client and professional can each type messages into the chat box to talk in real time with each other.

    The chat system has also the "Phone Mode" functionality that allows a professional and a client to speak with each other on the phone.

  • How do I find professionals who are available via chat right now?

    The profiles of professionals who are available via chat right now are displayed at the top of the list of professional profiles when you choose to browse profiles. If the professional is available, there will be a button for you to click and chat. If not, the button will enable you to send a message instead.

    Each professional sets his or her own rates, which are displayed on their profiles.

  • How can I deposit funds to my account to chat with professionals?

    To deposit funds to your account, you just need to login and click on the “Add funds to my account” button on top of the menu. You can pay either with your PayPal account or credit card. If you chose the credit card option on the “Deposit funds” page, you will be redirected to a PayPal page which will allow you to pay by credit card without having to create a PayPal account.

  • When does the paid chat session start?

    The paid chat sessions starts after a client clicks the “Hire Professional” button on an opened chat window page. In order to see this button, you need first to start a chat session with a professional.

  • What if the discussion with my professional would be easier over the phone?

    When a chat session starts, clients will have an option to go to “phone mode” chat sessions and exchange phone numbers with each other.

    Phone mode should be used when a client and professional want to speak on the phone together. Client and coach must call each other. Clients and professionals will be only allowed to exchange phone numbers and call each other if, during the chat session, the “phone mode” is switched on in the chat window. This way professionals and client will not bypass our system, and the professional will be paid at the same rate as his / her chat rate.  However, the chat session will have to remain open in order for the professional to be paid!

  • Why can’t I click to chat with a professional who’s online?

    In order to start a chat conversation with a professional, clients need to add funds to their account. Please make sure to add enough funds in your account so that you can chat with your chosen professional without being cut off abruptly.

    You just need to click on the “Quit” button located on the left menu of your chat window.

  • Are there any types of discussions that are prohibited on FreelanceCoach’s chat system?

    We have placed some basic restrictions on the kind of language that may be used on our chat system. They are:

    • Any foul, abusive, or threatening language (even against oneself) will be prohibited on chat. This includes obscene, racist, or explicit language or images.
    • There will be no talk about any activities which are illegal in the country in which either the client or the professional is located.
    • No spam or ads may be linked in the chat system.
    • Copyrighted material or overly religious or political content may not be posted.

Any professional will allow you to have three free minutes of chat with them. If the professional is not online at the moment, you can send him / her message, and they will contact you with information about a date and time.

    Let the professional know you are interested in learning more about his / her services and would like to discuss them during a free three-minute chat session. You can also let the professional know some of the challenges you are having or what you would like to improve upon in your life.

  • Why did my session end suddenly?

    Occasionally, a session might end suddenly and without you making any action to end it. This can occur when a professional chooses to end the session without notice or if you do not have enough funds in your account. If your session ends abruptly, check to make sure you have adequate funds in your FreelanceCoach account. If you do, send your professional a message to see if he or she ended it suddenly.

    It might also end abruptly because of a technical issue. If you believe it was due to a technical issue, please contact us and include your session information: who the session was with (the professional’s name), the date of session, and any error message you might have received.

  • What is the FreelanceCoach Payment Protection?

    Each of the  packages offered on FreelanceCoach will have Opt out Days. The minimum for opt out days is 1 day. Professionals can choose to have more opt out days to make our clients confident to buy more of their  packages.  Within these specified opt out days a FreelanceCoach Client can ask to receive a full refund for the  packages a client bought. Even if the Opt our dates are over, FreelanceCoach team will always do their best to help to solve any of your issues in a good faith. However, the money will be already transferred to the professional after the specified out days in the  package are over.

  • There are a lot of different kinds of professional categories. Which kind of category should I choose?

    Every professional listed on our network can choose up to three professional categories. If you have more professional skills and you feel that your profile would fit under more categories, we recommend that you choose the most appropriate categories. For example, if you are a coach and you offer sessions for losing weight, life coaching and relationship coaching, you can list yourself under all these categories. The same applies for consultants, counselors, psychics, and mentors.

  • Can I display my contact information (my email, website, phone number) for a client to contact me directly?

    As a professional, you cannot display your contact information on your public pages. In addition, using your email address as your FreelanceCoach username is not acceptable. The communication between you and your FreelanceCoach client must be done using our communication tools. Failure to comply with FreelanceCoach rules will result in the immediate termination of your account.

    Client confidentiality and privacy is our highest priority at FreelanceCoach. A professional must keep all the info about the clients he / she is working with safe and confidential.   • I am going on a vacation/I am sick/I cannot take more clients for a specific period of time. What should I do?

    You need to contact our site administration by using the Vacation and Unavailability Request Form. You can locate this form by clicking the "Manage" tab from the top menu. Our Site Administration will temporarily take you out of our search results, so you will only need to manage your current clients. We will put you back on our search results on the specific date you tell us you will be available again.

    A member profile, including username, cannot contain any of the following: • Any contact details (example: non-FreelanceCoach website URL, email address, phone number) outside of the designated areas • Offers to make payments outside of the FreelanceCoach payment system • Any text that is copied from another member’s profile • Reference to another member's name or logo in a way that misleads or falsely implies a relationship with that member.

  • Can I ask a client to pay for my services not using FreelanceCoach payment system?

    No, this is a violation of the rules of FreelanceCoach, and we will terminate your account immediately.

  • Can I meet with clients I meet on FreelanceCoach outside of the website?

    You can meet with a client personally, if it will help you sell your services. But all clients payments must be made through FreelanceCoach payment system. 

    We do not appreciate it when a professional is guiding a client to buy sessions from his / her personal website. We will monitor our professionals' activity on FreelanceCoach, and if we find a professional who violates FreelanceCoach’s rules, we will terminate his / her FreelanceCoach account immediately.

  • Can I advertise FreelanceCoach on my website?

    Yes, feel free to post a link to your FreelanceCoach profile so you can use our system to handle your clients. In this way, you will be building a strong reputation on FreelanceCoach.com, and therefore, more clients will come to you.

  • Can I use my email address as username?

    No, you cannot use your email address as your username on FreelanceCoach. Our representatives will contact you right after the registration and will advise you to change your username.

    In order to speed up your registration process, we advise you to choose a username that represents you the best.

  • What happens when I respond to a request? How does the client know who sent the response?

    After a professional responds to a request, the response will be reviewed by one of FreelanceCoach's representatives. If the response complies with our rules, the response will be approved. Once the response is approved, a notification email will be sent to the client notifying him that he has received a response to his request. In this notification email to the client, there are a few links included:

    - One link to the professional’s profile. In this way, the client can immediately check the profile of the professional who responded to his / her request.

    - One link allowing him / her to respond immediately to the professional

    At the same time, the professional will receive a notification email indicating that the response had been sent to the client.

    * Disclaimer. Please note that the notification emails are sent and received only after the response is approved by FreelanceCoach. We are doing our best to review and approve Professionals' responses right away. However, due to the high volume of responses, it might take a couple of hours until your responses will be approved.   • What are credits?

    Credits give you the opportunity to respond to clients’ requests. It costs only 10 credits to respond to each request. Credits do not expire, so you can buy as many as you want. There are advantageous packages for credits that can help you connect with clients at a low cost.

  • Why do you use a credits system for responding to requests?

    The credits system was implemented as a solution to ensure that only the coaches who are qualified and believe they are a good match for the client's goals are responding to requests. Before the credits system was implemented, we found that many coaches were often responding to every request posted without making sure they are a good fit for the client. The credit system is intended to limit the number of coaches who respond to a request. In this way, the professional and client have better chances to find a good fit.

  • How many credits can I buy?

    You can buy as many credits as you like because they do not expire. There are several packages from which you can choose. The credit packages start at 20 credits/package ($15.99/20 credits) up to 1,000 credits/package ($399/1,000 credits).

  • If I don't want to buy credits, how are the clients finding me?

    If you don't want to buy credits, you cannot respond to our clients' requests. However, the clients can still find you through our professional listing. The clients can contact you in two ways:

    • Sending you a direct email

    FreelanceCoach chat system enables professionals and clients to discuss problems live over chat. As soon as a chat session begins, the client and professional can type messages into the chat box to talk in real time with each other.

  • When does a professional begin to get paid during the chat session?

    The paid chat sessions starts after a client clicks the “Hire Professional” button on an opened chat window page. In order to see this button, a client needs first to start a chat session with a professional by clicking the “Start Chat” button beside a professional’s profile snapshot.

  • How can I set up or edit my chat rates?

    To set up or edit your chat rates, you just need to go to the “Manage” tab on top of your menu and select the “My Profile” option. After that, you just need to click on the “Edit your chat rates” button on the mention on the left side of your profile.

  • What are the technical requirements for FreelanceCoach Chat?

    You can use any modern browser you want, but we do recommend using Google Chrome for your chat sessions. Every browser must allow pop-ups from FreelanceCoach.com.

  • What happens if I miss or decline a chat request?

    If you do not respond to a chat request within 45 seconds, it will automatically decline the session and log you out of chat. If you click the "decline" button when a chat request appears, you will remain logged into chat and the customer will be notified that you are not available.

    Our website will collect the money first, and then we will pay our professional by PayPal every two weeks on Fridays.

  • Are there any types of discussions that are prohibited on FreelanceCoach’s chat system?

    We have placed some basic restrictions on the kind of language that may be used on our chat system. They are:

    • Any foul, abusive, or threatening language (even against oneself) will be prohibited on chat. This includes obscene, racist, or explicit language or images.
    • There will be no talk about any activities which are illegal in the country in which either the client or the professional is located.
    • No spam or ads may be linked in the chat system.
    • Copyrighted material or overly religious or political content may not be posted.

  • What if our discussion would be easier over the phone?

    Phone mode should be used when a client and professional want to speak on the phone together.

    Clients and professionals will be only allowed to exchange phone numbers and call each other if, during the chat session, the “phone mode” is switched on in the chat window. This way professionals and client will not bypass our payment system, and the professional will get paid at the same rate as his / her chat rate.  If a professional will not follow this rule and asks a client to pay him / her directly (not through our chat payment system) his / her account will terminated immediately.

  • How do I create service packages?

    In the FreelanceCoach Professional interface, you can click on the top tab for “Create My  Packages.” This will bring up a screen that will allow you to fill in the information for each of your packages.

  • How do I know what to include in a service package?

    Packages are unique to the professional. You can include the number of sessions/other services for the package, what the package will focus on, how long each session will last, and any other relevant information you think would be beneficial to the client.

  • How do I edit my service packages?

    Just login to the FreelanceCoach.com, click on top "Manage" tab and choose "My  Packages" option. You will see a bolded blue Actions link on the right hand side of each of your packages. Mouse over the actions link, and a drop down menu will appear that will allow you to edit your package.

  • Can I delete my package?

    Yes, you can delete a package at any time. Just login to the FreelanceCoach.com, click on top "Manage" tab and choose "My  Packages" option. Then mouse over the link Actions to the right, and select delete from the drop down menu.

  • What if a client wants to change a package?

    You can create a  package especially for a client, so if a client wants to change on you have and you agree with the change, you can either edit one that you have or create a new one.

  • What are opt-out days?

    Opt-out days are days in which the client has the choice to cancel his  package. The minimum number of opt-out days is five, but you can change it to more days if you would like. Keep in mind, you will not see the cost of the package deposited into your account until after the opt-out days have passed.
