OBJECTIVE

Through my business KMS Life Coaching Ltd, I empower people to achieve greater satisfaction in their work and lives by means of transformational coaching. My work and educational experience has created the ideal blend for serving clientele from all walks of life. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

The combination of my life coach training and work experience over the last eight years has equipped me with the tools necessary to build my life coaching practice. With over 200 hours of one-on-one coaching experience, I have honed the skill of helping a wide range of clients take ownership of their lives. Since its inception in January 2011, KMS Life Coaching Ltd. has served corporate clients at both the University of Northern BC and the College of New Caledonia in addition to private clients. Below, I outline some further work experience that contributes to my knowledge and expertise, particularly in working with people in a corporate/educational environment.

College of New Caledonia, Prince George, BC                                           

Administrative Assistant, Student Services (Oct 2008 - Apr 2010)         

  • Supported the Associate Director of Student Services who oversaw the CNC daycare, Centre for Student Success, Recreation, Counselling & Advising, Financial Aid, Disability Support Services and Student Employment
  • Created a process and designed a tool to track employee vacation times, professional development leave and to monitor required staff coverage
  • Researched strategies and tools used in other post-secondary institutions, presented findings and provided recommendations for the overall improvement of services provided in this department (i.e., the structure of CNC’s Counselling & Advising Department)

Student Recruitment Advisor, Communication Svcs (Sep 2006 - Jun 2007)

  • Identified and implemented strategies for recruiting students to CNC
  • Promoted CNC to prospective students, parents, teachers, counsellors and other members of the community through various means (i.e., campus tours, high school presentations, trade shows)
  • Worked closely with the Communications team to improve and heighten awareness of CNC through advertising, promotional activities and/or events, publications and other means of marketing

St. Peter's College, Muenster, SK

Recruitment Officer & Campus Minister (August 2002 – August 2005)

  • Identified, developed and maintained effective programs for recruiting students to St. Peter’s College (i.e., tracking database for communication and follow-up)
  • Provided academic advising and support to first-year and returning students
  • As chairperson, oversaw and organized the annual Opportunities Edge Career Expo and increased participation numbers of exhibitors and students
  • Initiated and managed the design, publication and distribution of recruitment materials and other forms of promotion
  • Worked closely with other team members to provide ministry services at the College and to enhance campus life as a whole

LIFE EXPERIENCE

A strong believer in living with purpose, I bring a great deal of valuable insight to my profession as a life coach. I truly believe that when we are open to our higher purpose, all our experiences lead us along a path of greatness. Aside from being a mother to three small children and giving utmost priority to my family, I am also passionate about people and helping clients live more fulfilling lives. One life-changing experience that that speak volumes about who I am as an individual is highlighted below:

Student Work Abroad Program (SWAP) South Pacific (1997 – 1998)

  • Travelled to New Zealand and Australia for eleven months
  • Worked two part-time jobs in Mount Maunganui, New Zealand before travelling the country; worked as a nanny in Sydney, Australia for five months and travelled the East Coast, Central and Northern Australia
  • Developed essential life skills during this time: self reliance, adaptability, resourcefulness, personal strength, flexibility, perseverance and an ability to overcome apprehension and personal fears

VOLUNTEER WORK

Prince George Work at Home Moms & Dads (PGWAHM)

  • Currently serve as Co-Chair on the PGWAHM committee
  • Duties include: ollecting registrations, coordinating the main event, engaging with the media, advertising, managing budgetary issues, connecting with other home-based business owners, and more

Immaculate Conception School Parent Support Team

  • Currently take part in the Hot Lunch program by doing the grocery shopping and provide general support when needed
